After passing AIVIA™ Mode 1 evaluation of a project, the dropdown shows new buttons:
→ Interested in Teamwork? – Joins you to STEM-Away’s team matching

→ Find Teammates – Browse other qualified participants to form your own team

Team Formation: Two Paths
Option 1: STEM-Away Team Assignment
Let us match you with compatible teammates
- Click Interested in Teamwork? to confirm participation
- Starting July 15 – we’ll form teams on a rolling basis based on your chosen project and qualification level
- If not matched immediately, you can start solo and get assigned as more people join
Option 2: Build Your Own Team
Take control and choose your collaborators
- Grab your favorite collaborators - friends, roommates, relatives, or even mentors
- Or message potential teammates directly by using Find Teammates
- Form a team of 2–5 members
- Register your team by DMing @stemaway with project name and all usernames
Option 3: Go Solo
Work independently at your own pace
- Perfect for self-directed learners or those with limited availability
- Access all resources, mentorship, and support
- Can join a team later if you change your mind
- Still eligible for recognition in the “Build Only” track
