  • Finished 5 Survey Questions
  • Installed Quartus Prime and all the packages + watched related training videos from Intel

Tasks Completed / Hurdles Faced:

  • I was confused on how to install the devices into Quartus Prime but I was able to ask questions during the Office Hours and resolve the issues
  • I am having a little difficulty on getting all 50 responses for the survey but I am continuing to get responses so I hope to reach the minimum
  • I accidentally sent out the wrong survey initially but I resolved that issue with one of the leads and will split the responses after

Things Learned:

Technical Area:

  • Refining data from survey and creating understandable visuals
  • Understanding the HALO vape detector and also learned about the FlySense vape detector through presentations
  • Continuing to learn about FPGAs and using Quartus software

  • I reached out and established a method of communication among my group members
  • I was able to complete the deliverables (Research on HALO vape detector, receiving 50 responses on survey & refining data + creating visuals)
  • I was able to present for my group during the Team 2 Meeting

  • Me and my partner planned on presenting together but she was unfortunately unable to attend the meeting so I had to present alone

  • Understood the technical and general specifications of the HALO vape detector
  • Learned about the technicalities of the FlySense vape detector through presentations
  • Learned how to interpret survey data through many presentations

  • Initially we were unable to find a block diagram for the HALO detector so we focused on the detector’s technical parts and how the parts function
  • Presentation for the Team 1 & 2 Meeting completed
  • I had planned but was unable to present on Friday due to the meeting running a little long but my partner was able to cover my slides so the issue was resolved

  • Continued to learn about FPGAs and specifications of HALO detector
  • Understood how block diagrams are created

Tasks Completed / Hurdles Faced:

  • I started school last Thursday which made it difficult to attend any meetings / trainings because all the timings overlapped but I was able to watch the recordings and get up to speed with all the work
  • Time management became a little difficult but I was able to finish all the deliverables for last week and hope to complete everything for this week
  • I figured out the issue I was having with the Logic Gate Challenges through Office Hours and completed it on my own

  • Thoroughly understood the prevalence and effectiveness of existing vape detectors
  • Worked on skills with researching a product
  • Learned through other group’s analysis of survey and vaping block diagrams
