Tasks Accomplished:
Created a form for survey questions - it was difficult to come up with questions without knowing what the bioinformatics project was, but I designed some questions that would allow us to learn more about the projects and provide a general background of the project
Researched a list of potential interview candidates - one struggle I faced was the difficulty of finding out who would be able to provide sufficient information, but I used the stemaway website to look at the different team members and their experience and who would be the best fit for helping us learn more about the interface
Goals for next week:
Reach out to candidates, and hopefully get a response
Met to discuss interview questions - we struggled to find a good time to meet but used a website to coordinate time zones
Interviewing candidates - a lot of us were busy or in different time zones that the interviewees but we were able to decide who was available at a certain time to interview the candidates
creating diagrams/maps - we didn’t have much information on the bioinformatics project at first but after receiving some responses from the interviewees we were able to know more about their app and begin planning

Met to work on personas- formatting the personas and choosing what details to include was difficult but we studied some examples and tried out different ideas until we found two that worked, also at the weekly kickoff meeting we received feedback that our names were very general and we will consider changing it to something that makes a persona more relatable so that we can best create an interface that will be easy to navigate and satisfy everyone’s goals
Met to work on journey maps - we were unsure of what to include in these and how to organize them but we tried different templates until we found ones that were suitable to our needs and goals

Creating a flowchart
Having multiple flowcharts for our team

Tasks Accomplished:
Created a flowchart- it was difficult to figure out how to use figma to create the flowchart but I was able to try a few different approaches and was successful; also I was unsure what the exact features of the software so I tried to create a flowchart that was flexible for those aspects.
Got feedback on my diagrams: I was told to make a key indicating what symbols were what and to add more detail to the end… now that I know more about the product I might be able to create a more detailed flowchart
Worked on low-fi prototype- we created a low-fidelity prototype, it was difficult because we couldn’t find a good time to meet so it took a while to find a common free time we could work on the project during
Worked on high-fi prototype- we created a high-fidelity prototype, but had some issues in the user testing as our questions were not well formatted, so we fixed the questions and plan on trying again to get a better and more accurate response
