Most resumes describe skills. AIVIA tags prove them.
Resume tags are verified labels earned through evaluations — not self-declared, not endorsed by a connection, not copied from a job posting. They’re assigned when AIVIA’s evaluator identifies specific moments in a candidate’s answers that demonstrate a particular quality. Candidates can’t add them. They can only earn them.
The Five Resume Tags
Technical Depth. Answers went beyond surface-level familiarity into real, specific, working knowledge of the component.
Systematic Reasoning. Problems were approached methodically — structured thinking, clear logical progression, deliberate ordering of steps.
Diagnostic Instinct. A natural ability to diagnose — isolating root causes, reading signals correctly, narrowing down before jumping to solutions.
Scope Awareness. Understanding of where a problem sits in the larger system — boundaries, dependencies, downstream effects.
Communication. Reasoning explained clearly — well-structured answers, precise language, ideas that are easy to follow.
01 How They’re Earned
Tags aren’t based on rubric scores or averages. They’re based on evidence — specific moments in answers where the quality showed up clearly. A candidate could score 3/5 on a rubric dimension and still earn a tag if a particular response demonstrated the quality convincingly.
This is what makes tags different from scores. Scores measure how well someone performed. Tags capture how they think.
02 What Candidates Control
Candidates can remove tags they don’t want displayed. They cannot add tags. This is intentional — every tag on a resume was observed in an evaluation, which means every tag a hiring team sees is verified.
03 How Hiring Teams Use Them
Tags are one of the two ways employers discover candidates on AIVIA (the other is by domain). A hiring team looking for engineers with strong diagnostic instincts can filter by that tag and see candidates whose evaluations specifically demonstrated that quality — not candidates who wrote “strong diagnostic skills” on their resume.
