1) WHAT I LEARNED

2) THREE ACHIEVEMENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Learned about interviews, card-sorting, observations, focus groups, contextual inquiries, and surveys and how it’ll help improve UI.
  • Analyzed different users and how their roles affect their interaction with the product. Linked this with appropriate preparation of research methods.
  • Gained practice with screening appropriate research candidates and preparing effective questions for the research process.

3) TASKS COMPLETED

  • Created ten interview questions to identify and break down potential issues users may experience when using a product.
  • Planned an observation to gain insight on how a user naturally interacts with a platform.
  • Hosted and selected candidates for a focus group in order to identify issues/improvements to be made.

4) CHALLENGES

  • I had a bit of trouble coming up with questions that were unleading, but after referring back to the slides, I was able to improve them.
