Python Training

Hey Guys,

I’m Goral, I’ll be leading the Python training sessions.

Before the project starts, I would like to know how experienced you are in Python and if you’re interested in attending training sessions. I recommend that you attend these sessions because we will be using Pathway tools later on in the internship and since they’re Python-based tools, there may be a chance that you need to code in Python as well.

The trainings will be done on June 6th, June 12th, and June 19th at 1 PM EST . If you’re really interested in participating but this schedule doesn’t fit you, let me know so that I can either move the session around, or hold a make-up session.

  • Session 1 - Advanced Level (Intro to handling the dataset)
  • Session 2 - Beginner Level (Learning the basics of Python to hopefully bring you up to an advanced level)
  • Session 3 - Advanced Level (Answering any questions, etc.)

I’m very excited to work with all of you.

ATTENTION: Students that are not in Bioinformatics are welcome to join the sessions as well!
If any of the mentors or leads would like to help run the sessions, please message me!

So please answer the poll below to make it easier to organize the sessions .

What is your experience level in Python? .

  • Beginning
  • Intermediate

Hey! I noticed that the 6/5 training conflicts with @yvesgaetan R training. Maybe we should stagger?
