Abstract: In this half hour to 45 minutes talk, Aravind Dasu from Intel will give an overview of FPGAs starting with some fundamentals from the perspectives of hardware/software and conclude with a view on products and markets.
Bio : Dasu Aravind, is a Principal Engineer and Director of Advanced Technologies in Strategic Product Planning, Intel Programmable Solutions Group.
He has been working in the field of FPGAs and heterogenous computing for about twenty years.
He graduated with a PhD from Arizona State University, with a thesis on the Design of Reconfigurable Processors.
Over the years, he has had fun working on various research/prototyping projects ranging from use of FPGAs for NASA, to those in Datacenters, and embedded systems with video and thermal imaging sensors for Smart Buildings.
