Where you are from: San Diego
Time Zone: PST
School and year/Job Title: UC Berkeley, Incoming Senior
Previous experience in R, Python and Bioinformatics: After working on a project in a bioinformatics-related hackathon, I realized how much I don’t know about the field overall. Most of my experience in Python and R come from some statistics and computational biology courses I took.
Why you wanted to join Stem-Away and hope to get out of it: I’ve been through several major/potential career changes throughout my undergraduate years, but I’m 99% sure bioinformatics and computational biology is a field I can see myself working in. As a result, I’m trying to get as much experience as I can in the field to be able to get a head start.
A fun fact about yourself! I love film and Batman and comic book characters! If you’re a fellow nerd I’d love to talk haha.
