      • Introduction to UX Research Methods and the stages of UX Design

      • Introduction to Bioinformatics as a field and STEMAway pathway

      • Preparing an Interview guide

    • Tools: Figma, Miro, Discord, Google Suite, Trello, Zoom

    • Soft-Skills: Research, planning, teamwork and communication

  2. 3 Achievement Highlights

    • Meeting and collaborating with my team via Zoom and Discord to contact and interview members of the Bioinformatics track
    • Presenting our first slide deck of our research on Bioinformatics
    • Gaining further insight on the empathy and user research aspect of UX design.
  3. Upcoming Goals

    • Further familiarize myself with tools such as Miro and Figma
    • Develop personas from the data gathered in our interviews
  4. Hurdles

    • Working with everyone’s schedules (mine included) was difficult at first, and personally remains difficult due to outside factors interfering with my availability. However, I will work especially hard to contribute more in the coming weeks!

  2. 3 Achievement Highlights

    • Meeting and collaborating with my team to create journey maps from user personas and information gathered during the interview stage of our research. This greatly helped me understand how users will interact with the app.
    • Presenting our second slide deck of our gatherings from interviewing STEMAway BI-track interns and personnel
  3. Upcoming Goals

    • Meet with team to discuss deliverables for the incoming week!
    • Assist in conducting semi-structured interviews
