  • Team conducted interviews, and we have lots of good information

Challenges

  • Many people were in different time zones, so we need to give people sufficient amount of time to complete tasks and respond to messages
  • Interview times conflicted with UX/UI meetings
  • Difficult to communicate with BI team without being invited to BI Slack channel

Tasks

  • Team completed interviews and we analyzed the data to get an idea of what the BI team wanted
  • Started affinity map
  • Created stakeholder map

Goals

  • Complete affinity map
  • Formulate a general idea of what we need to do to give BI team a good design
  • Organize ideas in order pf importance

  • How to use personas to get an idea about project needs
  • How to organize data into journey maps to place yourself in the shoes of the stakeholder
  • How to condense things I learned from interviews into concise bullet points to put into persona chart

  • Separated tasks effectively and completed tasks efficiently
  • Successfully completed all interviews
  • Created thoughtful personas

Challenges

  • Many people were in different time zones, so we broke into smaller teams so we could work together on smaller parts of the project individually and then collaborate later
  • Was difficult to come up with new information to put into journey maps (much of the info was repetitive)
  • As many people don’t have BI experience, it was difficult to put ourselves in the position of someone who is working in BI

Goals

  • Create a story board
  • Come up with what the prototype of the app should look like
  • Figure out the most important features to include on app

Week 3

  • How to imagine a user’s experience using an app
  • How to organize app ideas in flowchart to convey ideas effectively

Achievements

  • Finally coordinated with BI team in order to discuss plans for app
  • Came up with general idea of app and what screens we’ll have
  • Finalized users’ wants and needs in app

Challenges

  • BI team and UX team could not find a time to meet where both sides were available, so not everyone was able to attend meeting
  • Difficult to draw on storyboard, because was online and drawing with mouse is hard
  • Story boards seemed very similar for both personas, so it was difficult separating the 2 into distinct story boards

  • Come up with rough drafts for screens
  • Created flowchart of needs and wants for app

  • brainstorm slightly more detailed screens
