Final Self Assessment (Week 1 - Week 7)

Things I Did/Learned:

  • Through the FPGA trainings, personal research, and weekly meeting presentations, I learned about the technical components of HALO IOT and FlySense vape detectors.
  • I conducted surveys and analyzed data, incorporating it into the weekly presentations. I created spreadsheets and charts to include visual representations in the Google Slideshows.
  • I learned about the benefits, as well as the flaws of HALO IOT, and how to improve the design to ensure better performance in installed areas.
  • I worked with my team members on weekly assignments to produce presentations based on the given deliverables.
  • I analyzed the technical parts of HALO IOT and designed a block diagram to show the internal, as well as external parts of the detector.
  • I researched and worked with my team to generate a list of suggestions to reduce vaping in highly affected neighborhoods.

    • I researched ways to reduce vaping in affected demographics, how to quit vaping, and how vaping companies market their devices.
    • I attended most meetings and presented the section I worked on during the Vaping Team 2 presentations.
